With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alma Anderson (Petersburg, Virginia), born in Dinwiddie, Virginia, who passed away on August 19, 2019 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Cairns and Emma Westmoreland Cairns. She is survived by: her husband Melvin Lee "Dikey" Anderson, Sr.; her children, Anita M. Anderson, Melvin L. Anderson, Jr. (Debora) and Dr. Danny R. Anderson, Sr. (Catherine); her grandchildren, Melvin L. "Matt" Anderson, III (Jamie), Melissa Bristow (Joey), Gregory Anderson (Lisa), Amanda N. Johnson, Danny R. Anderson, Jr. and Cailynn V. Anderson; and her great grandchildren, Tyler Anderson, Lily Anderson, Emory Anderson, Samuel Delicate, Sophia Delicate and William Delicate. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
