She was predeceased by: her parents, Geneva Ampey and Willie Lee Ampey; her grandson Tyyor Ampey; and her brother Willie "Pete" Ampey. She is survived by: her husband Edward Powell; her children, Donzell Ampey (Yolanda), Shana Futrell (Corey) and Bernard Ampey (Maria); her grandson Ra-Quan Teabout (Shaunte); her siblings, Ervin Jones, Jerry Ampey (Wanda), Alvin Ampey (LaTanya), John Ampey (Krista), Lucy Pulliam (Casterduarl), Edith Ampey and Laura Fletcher (James); and her aunts, Volia Prosise (Leroy) and Barbara Phillips. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren that she loved and adored; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
