He is survived by: his children, Walter (Alma) of Hopewell, Virginia, Francine Pope (Charles) of Hopewell and Carnell Myrick (Earl) of Prince George, Virginia; his sister Mary Dell Brown of Chester, Virginia; his godson Richard Hicks of Petersburg, Virginia; and his niece Mildred Beasley. He is also survived by nephews; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-six great grandchildren; and twenty-two great-great grandchildren.
