He was predeceased by: his parents, Chesnie Johnson and Clarence Johnson; and his siblings, Jack Johnson, Allen Johnson, Betty Ranville, Helen Lindsey and Shirley Lingar.

He is survived by: his daughters, Kelly and Lisa; and his sisters, Margie Martin and Ruth Kennedy (Sylvia Winters). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
