She was predeceased by: her parents, Theodore Roosevelt Edwards (Ted) and Beulah Marie Jordan Edwards; her husband Ralph George Ely; her siblings, Trilla Anderson, Nadine Nelms and Ted Lee Edwards; her grandson Steven D. Ely; and her great grandchild Victoria Love Houston.
She is survived by: her daughter-in-law Phyllis Ely; her children, Luckie Elden Ely (Sherry) of Shawnee Mission, Reverend Windell Darmon Ely (Phyllis) of Proctorville, Dr. Macel Ely (Carol) of Knoxville and Naomi Belinda Ely of Spring Hill; her foster daughter Nettie Barnette (Dwain) of Blackwater, Virginia.; her sisters, Mary Lou Lockamy of Wallace, Julia Caughey of Palm City and Sue Johnson of Stuart; and her sister-in-law Margie Edwards of Forsyth, Georgia.. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and 10 great-great grandchildren.
The family has requested for visitors to wear masks and to maintain social distancing.
