He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Houston Cheek and Lillian Lee Collier Cheek; his daughter Tammie Brandenburg; his son-in-law Roger Brandenburg; his granddaughter Jessica Hill; his brothers, Herschel, MacArthur, Doyle, Kenneth, Charles and Roy Cheek; his children, Melinda Sage (Bryan), June Cheek Parsons and Ralph Edward Cheek Jr.; his grandchildren, Justin Hill, Preston Sage, Houston Sage, Victoria Sage, Noah Sage and Asia Parsons; and his great grandchildren, Landon Hill and Riley Hill.
He is survived by: his sister Sue Hines. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other close relatives, and friends.
A procession was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Mullins—sturgill Funeral Home. Visitation was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Methodist Church. A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Duff Cemetery.
