He was predeceased by: his parents, John Newton and Hattie Newton; and his siblings, John Quentin Newton and Colleen Newton. He is survived by: his son Colin Cooper of Pennington Gap, VA; and his siblings, Gerald Newton, Paul Eddie "Fig" Newton, Kenneth Newton (Daryl Newton), Thelma Welch, Alice Quiet and Stephanie Newton. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews other family and friends.
