He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Mooney and Virginia Mooney; and his siblings, Brenda Bolling and Billy Mooney. He is survived by: his wife Grace Ann Mooney; his sons, Michael L. Mooney II (Carolyn) of Louisville, KY, Thomas Herman Mooney (Mandy) of Winchester, TN and Nathaniel Mooney (Ashley) of Jonesville, VA; his grandchildren, Jordan Mooney, Matthew Mooney, Adam Mooney, Olivia McAllister, Brooke Tate, Jacob Mooney, Hunter Mooney and Jensen Carter; his great grandchildren, Bo Henry McAllister, Raylan McAllister and Zinnia Mooney; and his sisters, Lana Jones and Patricia Kasen-Beg. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
