He was predeceased by: his wife Daisy Mae Harless (Bentley); his son Randy Lee Harless; his parents, John Harless and Maude Harless (Lane); and his siblings, J. D. Harless, Billy Joe Harless, Tommy Harless, Emma Jean Thrasher and Wanda Woods.
He is survived by: his daughter Betty Lancaster; and his sister Julia "Judy" Pugh (Warren) of Rose Hill, VA. He is also survived by six granddaughters, three grandsons, one step-grandson, seventeen great-grandchildren, one step-great-grandchild.
