He is survived by: his sisters, Billie Sue Burton of Jonesville, VA, Pauline Scott (Earnest Scott) and Mary Welborn of Salisbury, MD. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

“Most of the family may not know me personally by I am related to Dewey and Dennis Blevins. Paul and Birdie Shoemaker were my Daddy's Dewey and Uncle Dennis' Aunt and Uncle. When I was younger my Dad(Dewey) would bring us to visited Aunt Bird,Paul, John, Big Jim, Arvin, Vivian, and Obie. I remember when Aunt Bird and Paul lived in that old house then moved into Arvin and Vivian's trailer. My name is Judy Ann Blevins(Butterworth) my Mother's name was Marty and Dewey was my Dad. 2708622598”
