It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jimmy Ewing Sr. of Pennington Gap, Virginia, who passed away on November 8, 2020, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Zuane Ely Ewing; his parents, Paul Ewing and Faye Ewing; his brothers, Paul Ewing, Jr., Paulus Ewing and Billy Joe Ewing; his parents-in-law, Jess and Mary Cooper Ely; and his brother-in-law Ezra Ely.
He is survived by: his children, Jimmy Ewing, Jr. (Ada) of Pennington Gap, Mitch Ewing (Melanie) of Jonesville, Barry Ewing (Michele) of Duffield and Patricia Ewing; his grandchildren, Jessica Daniels (Joshua) of Pennington Gap, Joshua Ewing of Pennington Gap, Brandon Ewing (Cassie) of Pennington Gap, Ashley Ewing of Jonesville, Skyler Ewing of Jonesville and Dalton Ewing; his great grandchildren, Rylan, Bethany, Dawson Daniels, Colton Ewing and Ryker Collins; his siblings-in-law, Brenda Ewing of Pennington Gap and Larson Ely (Bess) of Arcadia, Indiana; his nephew Kevin Ewing of Kingsport; his niece Paula Audia (Barry); his great-nephew Alan of Pennington Gap; and his grandson Joshua Daniels. He is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.
Due to covid-19 state regulations, those attending the visitation and funeral are asked to wear masks/facial covering. Social distancing guidelines will also be in place.
