She was predeceased by: her parents, Garrett Witt and Erna Turner Broughton Witt; her husband Earl Elliott; her stepfather Claude Witt; and her siblings, Buford, Phillip Broughton and Joyce Broughton Tolliver.

She is survived by: her sisters, Jewell B. Waldroup (Glenn) of Orlando and Christine Broughton Ginter (Earl) of Ephrata, PA; and her brother-in-law Ernest Tolliver of Jonesville. She is also survived by five nieces, two nephews and many great nieces and nephews.
