He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilburn Whited and Katie Whited; his son Gregory Lee Whited (Hudie); his sisters, Billie Jean Crabtree and Mary Helen Whited; his son-in-law John Haynes; and the mother of his children Faye Whited.
He is survived by: his daughters, Jackie Haynes of Pennington Gap and Lisa Christie (Donald) of Rose Hill; his grandchildren, Alicia Satterfield (Eric), Krista Kimberlin (Aaron), Dustin Whited (Savanna) and Nickolas Whited; his great grandchildren, Johnny Satterfield (Abbie) and Kyndal Satterfield (Dorian); and his caregivers, Teresa Spivey and Kristie Pol. He is also survived by extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to St. Jude's in his memory.
