He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie "Bill" Young and Nelle Young Hawkins; his brother Samuel O. Young; and his grandson Adam Underwood. He is survived by: his close friend Linda Simpson; his children, Glenna Young, Martin Young (Whitney), Michelle Akers (Brian) and Anita Vaughn (Michael); his stepchildren, Steven Simpson (Shania), Belinda Simpson and Monica Taylor (TJ); and his siblings, Juanita Morgan (Wayne), Robert Young (Phyllis), Billy Wayne Young (Kay) and David Young (Belva). He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and a host of nephews, nieces and friends.
