He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Jackson Fannon and Josephine Heroine Fannon (Ely). He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Wood Fannon; his daughters, Jennifer Place (Jeffrey) and Elizabeth Ann Fannon; his grandchildren, Nathan Wilder (Alexis), Julia Place, Jackson Place, Evan Sturgill and Dylan Sturgill; his great grandchild Charlotte Wilder; and his siblings, Peggy Kiser and William Fannon (Donna). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and many other cherished family and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Sturgill Funeral Home (298 Harrell St, Pennington Gap, VA 24277). A funeral service was held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel (298 Harrell St, Pennington Gap, VA 24277). A graveside service was held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 at the Lee Memorial Gardens (1986 Hickory Cir Rd, Pennington Gap, VA 24277).
