He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Bill" Ward and Elizabeth "Lizzie" Ward; his son Scotty Ward; his brothers, William "Bill" Jr., Randall Ward and Daniel Ward; his sister-in-law Sudie Ward; and his niece Sue Young.
He is survived by: his wife Sue Ward; his daughter Melissa Dillman (David) of Stickleyville, VA; and his granddaughter Makayla Ward (J. R.) of Stickleyville, VA.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 1st 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Sturgill Funeral Home (298 Harrell St, Pennington Gap, VA 24277). A funeral service was held on Sunday, December 1st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
