He was predeceased by: his parents, George Hammonds and Goldie Hammonds of Pennington Gap, VA; and his siblings, Lounette Huff of Dayton, OH, George Jr., Glen Hammonds of Maryville, TN, H. L. Hammonds, Bill Hammonds of Harriman, TN, Ralph Hammonds of Kingsport, TN and Milford Hammonds.
He is survived by: his wife Emma Gay Hammonds; his daughter Kathy Carter (Danny); his sister Jeanette Million of Stickleyville; his grandchildren, Lance Williams (DeLayla) of Taylors, SC, Brad Williams (Amanda) of Greer, SC and Emmalee Hudson of Hutchinson, KS; and his great grandchildren, Austin Soukup (Claire), Declan Williams and Anuhea Chaney. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
