He is survived by: his wife Betty Scott; his sons, David Stapleton of Pennington Gap, VA and Bucky Kirk (Stacey) of Bogart, GA; and his siblings, Ernest Scott, Jr. (Pauline) of Pucketts Creek, VA, Gary Wayne Scott (Sandra) of Pucketts Creek, VA, Roy Scott of Pucketts Creek, VA, Caroline Mills of Barboursville, KY and Sue Gibson of Travelers Rest, SC. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
