She is survived by: her children, David Carpenter (Angie), Daniel Carpenter, Tim Carpenter, Sarah Carpenter (Vince), Mary Henrietta Carpenter and Rebecca Carpenter (Joe); and her siblings, Nancy Paige, Betty Allen, William Fitts and Franklin Fitts.
