She was predeceased by: her father Elmer Lee; her husbands, Richard 'Dick Shifflett and Mason S. Riggs; her brothers, Robert "Bob" Dovel (Lois) and William "Bill" Dovel; and her son-in-law Ronnie Lewis.
She is survived by: her children, Sharon S. Greenwald (David) of New Bern, N. C., Debbie Lewis of Broadway, Jeanne Horn of Richmond and Richard F. "Rick" Shifflett, Jr. (Dethzee) of Penn Laird; her siblings, Betty Bowers of Harrisonburg, Janet Johnson of Harrisonburg, Elmer J. Dovel (Nancy) of Fairfax and Richard 'Dickie Dovel (Noret) of Virginia Beach; her grandsons, Matthew Greenwald (Tayler) and Bryan Lewis; her great grandchild Emily Grayce Lewis; her stepgrandson Miguel "Mickie" Marcano (Lianet Olivero); and also, Andriena Fernandez, Angel Marcano and Miguel Marcano.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, American Lung Association or Mount Olivet Christian Church in Elkton.
