It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Susie Muse (Penhook, Virginia), born in Franklin, Virginia, who passed away on June 13, 2018, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parent Charlie R. James; her children, Kathy Muse Walker and John W. Muse, III; and her siblings, Rosie Edgeteen Powell, Shirley Smith, Flurry Reed Powell, Cary Verlin James and Bobby Charles Witcher.
She is survived by: her parent Elsie Powell James; her siblings, Patricia Evans of Cincinnati, Erma Preston of Boones Mill, Richard James (Juanita) of Penhook, Guy James of Penhook and Thedo James (Barbara) of Roanoke; her sister-in-law Richard James; and also, Juanita James and True Vine Road.
