She was predeceased by: her parents, James A. Cannaday and Betty Riddle Cannaday; her daughter Alicia Pace Riddle; and her grandson Nathan. She is survived by: her husband Michael J. Shaffer of Penhook; her children, Michele Pace Mullis (Scott) of Greenville, NC, William F. Pace of Eden, NC, Amanda Shaffer Shelton (George) of Greensboro, NC and Andrew Shaffer (Suzanne) of Browns Summit, NC; her son-in-law Scott Riddle of Greensboro, NC; and her grandchildren, Anna, Zandy, Ivy, Kinley, Elizabeth, Katherine, Ben, Charlotte, Addie, Mason, Nolan and Sinclair.
