He was predeceased by: his parents, Wesley Matthews and Ola Matthews. He is survived by: his wife Patsy Davis Matthews; his daughter Kaitlyn Matthews; his sisters, Patsy Harmon (Steve) and Linda El Kadi (Ayoub); and his nieces and nephews, Stephen Harmon, Michael Harmon, Adrean El Kadi, Alexa El Kadi and Danielle El Kadi.
