With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Fredrick Lee Payne of Penhook, Virginia, born in Martinsville, Virginia, who passed away on October 9, 2023 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Douglas Craig and Shirley Payne Craig; his brother Kirk Craig; and his grandson Zach Witty. He is survived by: his wife Wanda Payne; his daughter Tammy Poore (Dustin); his stepson Wayne Witty; his sister Lisa Joyce (Gary); his godson Colin Walker; and his great-nephew Avery Wilson. He is also survived by six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; many beloved nieces and nephews.
