She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Jackson Adkins and Lessie Haley Adkins; and her husband Paul Alvin Poindexter. She is survived by: her children, Barbara Ann Harrison (Greg) of St. Petersburg, Maria Conner Walker of Penhook, Misty Poindexter Thomas of Patrick Springs, Crystal Renae Poindexter of Penhook and Alva Chuck Conner of Penhook; her siblings, Leara Rigney of Danville, Burnice Eversole of Tampa and Tommy Michael Adkins of Martinsville; and her grandchildren, Matthew Kent Walker, Sara Liane Thomas, Skyler Paul Thomas, Ethan Gage Poindexter, Bentley Jacob Thomas and Hunter Cole Thomas.
