She was predeceased by: her parents, James Caldwell and Annie Caldwell; her husband Alfred Kast; and her siblings, Marvin Caldwell, Harvey Caldwell and Elsie Higgs.
She is survived by: her children, Joyce Kast Whitworth of Catawba, NC, Barry Kast (Lisa) of Pembroke, VA and Steven Kast (Alyson) of Yorktown, VA; her sisters, Marcella Williams and Brenda Carbaugh of Pembroke; and her grandchildren, Jeremy Whitworth, Chris Whitworth (Bettina), Samara Moore (Jaid), Ethan Kast and Marissa Peniche (Willis). She is also survived by step-grandchildren, step great grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Kendall Funeral Home (605 Snidow St, Pembroke, VA 24136). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Stella's honor to the Resident Aide Fund at Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Rich Creek, Virginia.
