He was predeceased by: his parents, Grant Saunders and Essie Mae Blake Saunders; his stepdaughter Virginia Jenny Oakes; and his brother-in-law Everett Parks. He is survived by: his wife Mollie Parks Saunders of Pembroke; his children, Tomika Saunders of Pembroke, Melissa Mills of Narrows and Jamie Mills (Jessica) of Christiansburg; his brother Leonard Saunders (Kat) of Radford; and his siblings-in-law, David Parks, John Parks, Fonzi Austin, Diane Parks and Margaret Ross. He is also survived by several other in-laws; several grandchildren, great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
