He is survived by: his wife Kathy Kerr Carter; his daughter Jessica Pritt (Greg) of Hot Springs, VA; his stepchildren, BJ Thompson (Nichole) of Pearisburg and Teddy Jensen (Miranda) of Pearisburg; his grandchildren, Clairborne Pritt, Reaghan Pritt, Preston Jensen, Jezdon Carter, Kennedi Pritt and Maxwell Thompson; his siblings, Henry Carter of Pembroke, Tina Jackson (Jim) of Bozoo, Donna Shaver (Greg) of Pembroke, Patricia Carter of Pembroke, Betty Jo Carter of Pembroke, Rebecca Blevins (Ivan) of Pembroke and Pam Frair (Curtis) of Pearisburg; his stepgrandchildren, Ryan Smith, Matthew Caldwell, Meredith Oakes, McKenzie Oakes, Danielle Ratcliffe and Conner Ratcliff; his parents-in-law, Bill and Vernie Kerr; his siblings-in-law, David Kerr, Marsha Barnett and Gordy Hazelwood (Angie); and his close friend David Miller. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
