With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Herman Boyd Harry of Pearisburg, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 15, 2025 at the age of 83. As we bid Herman Boyd farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Herman Boyd is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Harry and Irene Lawson Harry; his brother Jimmy Harry; and his siblings-in-law, Patty Greene, Wandell Greene, Douglas McCroskey and Dale Porterfield.
He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Bradley Harry; his sisters, Joy Harry of Union, WV and Shelby Porterfield of Covington, VA; his aunt Shirley Jones; and his uncle Larry Harry. He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home (111 Market St, Peterstown, WV 24963). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
