He was predeceased by: his parents, Hillary Herman Wint and Mildred Elizabeth Brown Wint; his daughter Mary Elizabeth Cauley; his brothers, Hillary Herman Wint, Jr., Billie Lee Wint, Robert James Wint, Henry Author Wint, Edward Labron Wint and Johnny Albert Fairbanks Jr.; his children, Fredrick Wint Jr. (Krista) of Pearisburg, VA, Katherine Denise Mitchell of Florida and Tamberly Pardee of Pearisburg; his grandson Joshua Allyn Mitchell (Heather); his great grandchild Waylon Mitchell; his siblings, David Wint of Oklahoma City, Sue Johnson (Terry) of Lafayette, Patricia Smith (Johnny) of Lafayette and Bonnie Jackson of Calhoun, Georgia; and the mother of his children Katherine Riddle (Roger).
