He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles W. Bowling and Minnie Belle Stephens Bowling. He is survived by: his wife Nevil E. Hale Bowling; his children, Dr. Daniel L. Bowling (Mary Ann) of Pearisburg, VA and Teresa L. (Johnny Clemons) of Lindside, WV; and his grandchildren, Russell (Jessica Bowling), Evan (Yao Bowling) and Amanda (Curtis Richardson). He is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
