He was predeceased by: his parents, John Thomas Smith and Virginia Frances Young Smith. He is survived by: his brother Harry Scott "Scotty" Smith (Kim) of Parksley; his nieces, Courtney Smith, Shelby Mullans (John) and Mallory Smith; and his great-niece Penny Mullans.
