She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Lawson and Mattie Stovall Lawson; and her husband James Edwin Turner. She is survived by: her sons, Steve Lawson, James Turner, Eddie Turner and John Turner; and her brother Emmett Lawson. She is also survived by six grandchildren.
