It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Edgar Shelton Jr. of Patrick Springs, Virginia, who passed away on March 3, 2022, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Edgar Shelton, Sr. and Florence Reynolds Shelton. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Fay Shelton; his stepdaughters, Virginia Faye Bowling (Jeff) of Bassett and Lisa Ann Marlow of Bassett; his stepgrandchildren, Tabatha Bowling of Bassett and Nathaniel Eggleston of Bassett; and his siblings, Jimmy Shelton of Patrick Springs, Garland Shelton (Karen) of Kernersville, NC, Kathy Holt (Jack) of Collinsville and Gloria Emler (Sherman) of Martinsville. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
