He was predeceased by: his parents, William Trainham and Mabel Elizabeth Young Trainham; and his siblings, Barbara Haracopas, Charlotte Trainham, Robert Reynolds, Sr. and Garland E. Reynolds.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Jenkins Trainham; and his children, Anita Childress, Rhonda Amos, Amanda Bowman and Robert Reynolds, Jr.. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
