She was predeceased by: her husband James Burns McDaniel; her parents, Melvin Harrison Annis and Sylvia Gay Chandler Annis; and her siblings-in-law, Nelson R. Childress, Paul Underwood, Reese Willis McDaniel (Mary), Herbert William McDaniel, Brenda Lee McDaniel Gusler (Charlie Jr.) and Eva Mae McDaniel.
She is survived by: her children, Sherri McDaniel Reese (David) of Gastonia, NC and Byrney McDaniel (Dana) of Parksley; her grandchildren, Haley McDaniel and Dalton McDaniel; her brothers, Benny Annis (Kim) and James Bundick (Edean); her stepgrandson Aaron Reese (Vanessa); and her siblings-in-law, Preston Coleman McDaniel, William B. "Buddy" Crowder, Jr., Myrtle McDaniel Childress and Shirley Ann McDaniel Underwood. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
