He was predeceased by: his wife Gloria Custis Johnson; his parents, Fletcher Johnson and Evelyn Mason Johnson; his brothers, Jimmy Johnson and Billy Johnson; and his brothers-in-law, Burt Laird and Trower Cropper.
He is survived by: his sons, Greg Johnson (Linda) of Snow Hill, MD and Danny Johnson (Deanna) of Lake Mary, FL; his grandchildren, Matthew (Sydney), Hunter, Kayla and Taylor; his siblings, Mary Alice Laird of Exmore, VA, Evelyn Cropper of Keller, VA, Aaron Johnson (Shirley) of Leemont and Vernon Johnson (JoAnn) of Hampton, VA; and his sister-in-law June Johnson of Hopeton. He is also survived by thirteen nieces and nephews.
