He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Young and Thelma Young; his brother Ralph F. Young (Rhoda); his nephew Franklin Young (Lois Ann); his brother-in-law Hughes Swain; his son-in-law Richard White; and also, Tambra Young and Beverly Young White.
He is survived by: his wife Lou (Johnson); his children, Kathryn (Travis Bundick) of Abingdon, MD and Matt of Parksley; his grandchildren, Brooke Sterner (Bundick), Meghan Bundick, Caroline Bundick, Luke Young and Violette Young; and his sisters, Ruby Young Swain and Barbara Young Middleton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
