She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl William Annis, Jr. and Margaret Johnson Annis. She is survived by: her husband Samuel Smith "Sam" Mears, Jr.; her sons, Roger Lewis (Rose) and Jamie Lewis; her siblings, Teresa Johnson and Earl W. Annis III (Justine); her grandsons, Josh Lewis (Wimberly), Nicholas Lewis (Anna), Austin Bridges, Skyler Lewis and Jay Lewis; her great grandchildren, Adrianna and Emma Lewis; her nephews, T. J. Johnson and Matthew Annis; her mother-in-law Ethel Schuster; her siblings-in-law, Tommy Mears (Rita) and Lois Burton (Joe); her friend Judy "Juju" Zimmer; and her caregiver Mary Scarborough. She is also survived by many other special friends and neighbors.
