She was predeceased by: her parents, Hal Smelcer and Myrtle Smelcer; and her brother Paul Smelcer. She is survived by: her daughters, Barbara McLoughlin (Mike) of Columbus and Lisa Newcomb (Jeff) of Pamplin, VA; her grandchildren, Jacob Bowman of Columbus, Joseph Bowman of Columbus, Jessica Jurcyk of Columbus and Travis Newcomb of Pamplin, VA; and her nephew Steve Smelcer of Prospect, VA..
