He was predeceased by: his parents, Deacon James Moore, Sr. and Missionary Alice Wheeler Moore; and his siblings, Lewis A. Moore, Alonzo Moore, Thaddeus Moore, Douglas Wheeler and Ruth V. Moore.
He is survived by: his son Taqawn McCoy of Appomattox; his sisters, Missionary Joyce Coles of Pamplin, Dr. Alice Thompson (Levester) of Jarrett, Elder Pearl Bailey (John) of Lynchburg and Bessie Payne of Boston, MA; his close friend Mary Wright of Lynchburg; and his friend Due.
