It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lydell Tyrone Payne of Palmyra, Virginia, who passed away on September 14, 2023, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Lewis Payne, Sr. and Barbara Jean Overton Payne of Palmyra, VA.; his sister Demetrice S. Golden; and his brother-in-law Larry. He is survived by: his wife Benita T. Payne; his children, Lydell Tyrone Payne, Jr., LaVandrius McCrae and Denisha Fauntleroy; his grandchildren, Jasmin, George, III (Tre), Jaceyon and Ace; his brother George L. Payne, Jr. (Anna); and his brothers-in-law, Charles (late Demetrice), John (Ruth), Thomas (Teresa), Darryl, Lavon (Joyce), Jerome and Calvin (Melvina).
