He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Hale and Ida Mae Hale; his wife Patricia Ann Hale; his sons, Jerome Anthony Hale and Charles Hale, III; and his sister Carolyn Ball.
He is survived by: his children, Terry D. Hale (Dartona Washam, Sr.) of Palmyra, VA and Jeffrey R. Hale (Sandra) of Middletown, DE; his sisters, Norma Powell (David) and Jean Stockton of Roanoke, VA; his grandchildren, Justin Ryan, Jerome Hale, Jr., Moja Hale, Nyk Fawcett, Azia Hale, PJ Fawcett, Jordyn Hale, Jaiden Hale and Jermane'Higgins; and his sister-in-law Sharon Cohen. He is also survived by many other family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hamlar-Curtis Funeral Home & Crematory (1002 Moorman Ave NW, Roanoke, VA 24016). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at the Sherwood Memorial Park (1250 E Main St, Salem, VA 24153).
