He was predeceased by: his parents, Vincent Lang Mariner, Sr. and Beatrice Chapman Mariner; his sons, Robin M. Mariner and Eric V. Mariner, Sr.; and his brother Kirk Mariner.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Mason Mariner; his children, Brett Mariner (Ann Marie) of Onancock, VA, V. Lang Mariner III (Janine) of Painter and Michelle Mariner Moses (Jimmy) of Wachapreague, VA; his daughter-in-law Jennifer Mariner; his grandchildren, Jesse Mariner, Jorge Mariner, Melissa Shelton, Joshua Mariner, Eric Van Mariner, Jr., Zachary Mariner, Kyle Mariner, Allen Mariner, Jacob Mariner, Michael D. Boan, Jr., Megan Casher and Seth Moses; and his sister Kathie M. Herrick (Mark) of New Church. He is also survived by sixteen great-grandchildren, a niece and two nephews.
