He was predeceased by: his parents, George Robert Turner and Maggie Sue Moore Turner of Painter, Virginia.; and his sister Celia Mae Turner Troxler of New Jersey. He is survived by: his close friends, Deacon George Harmonson (Per), Craig James and Mike Weatherly; his siblings, Georgia Mae Turner Baines of Virginia, Robert Turner, Deacon Terry Turner, Deacon Turner of New Jersey and Deacon Jerry Lee Bailey of New York; and his stepchild Ali Tuner of Germany. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
