With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Bud Smith (Painter, Virginia), born in Princess Anne, Maryland, who passed away on January 25, 2019 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman S. Smith and Edna Gardner Smith; his son Jonathan Winthrop Smith; and his granddaughter Sarah Hopkins. He is survived by: his daughter Jody S. Cullen (Mapp) of Keller, VA; his sister Betty Nichols of Salisbury, MD; his grandsons, Matthew Hopkins (Wendy) of Elizabeth City, NC and Adam Hopkins (Deanna Joy) of Bloxom, VA; and his great grandchildren, Madalynn, Jacob and Sadie Joy.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Legion Post #56, Post Office Box 357, Cheriton, VA 23316.
