She was predeceased by: her husband Mike James; her parents, Charles T. Murray, Sr. and Mary C. Murray; her brother Bob Murray; her parents-in-law, Evelyn James and Earl James; and her siblings-in-law, Sue James Mathews (Barbara) and Jerry James.
She is survived by: her daughters, Michelle Merchant (J. J.) and Melinda James; her grandchildren, Carrie Dawkins (Joe), Katie Merchant, Zachary Merchant, Michael Kemper and Matthew Kemper; her siblings, Tommy Murray (Jane), Patti Clark (Tom), Mary Murray and Sandie Murray; and her siblings-in-law, Cindy Glascock (Bob), Sandra James, Linda Coffey (Dillard), Nancy Rutherford and Donnie James (Vicky).
Sharon asked in lieu of flowers, that a donation to the ASPCA or Blue Ridge Hospice be made in her name.
