He is survived by: his mother Linda Atkins Carpenter of Orange; his wife Temple Kay Pierce of Orange; his brother Stacy Carpenter of Orange; his stepchildren, Kimberly Jones (James) of Nokesville, Robert Snead (Allyson) of King William and Justin Snead (Jessee) of Mechanicsville; his stepgrandsons, Travis Jones and Rocky Snead; his nephew Michael Carpenter; his uncle Charles Pierce of Orange; his aunt Mary Katherine Durrer (Joe) of Roanoke; and his cousins, Chuck Pierce (Susan), Chris Pierce (Rhonda), Kathy Anderson, Susan Durrer-Lee and Amy Martin.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Preddy Funeral Home (250 W Main St, Orange, VA 22960). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the North Pamunkey Baptist Church Cemetery (15109 Pamunkey Ln, Orange, VA 22960).
