He was predeceased by: his parents, John Atkisson and Wanda Atkisson. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Atkisson; his children, David Atkisson (Gina), Joanna Starke, Nicholas Harris (Kelley) and Michael Harris Sanson; his grandchildren, Gunnar, Christa, Charlie, Elizabeth, Harlen and Gracie; and his siblings, John, Linda, Gary, Dwayne and Ginger. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
