He was predeceased by: his parents, Maury Charles Hawkins and Lucy R Jenkins Hawkins; his brother-in-law William Cole; his sister Margaret Cole; and his nephew Timothy Lance Cole.
He is survived by: his children, April Chipps (Chris) of Richardsville, Mauri Pierce (Raymond Sr.) of Unionville, Britney Ryan of Collinsville and Preston Lawrence Hawkins Jr. (Iva) of Orange; his sister Lucille Hoffman (George) of Culpeper; his fiancée Lula Morgan; and his fiancée's daughters, Brenda Mills (Albert), Amanda Lamb (Haywood), Fannie Hurt and Lisa Morgan.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Preddy Funeral Chapel (250 W Main St, Orange, VA 22960). A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at the Fairview Cemetery (822 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA 22701).
